“That pleasure …

“That pleasure which is at once the most pure, the most elevating and the most intense, is derived, I maintain, from the contemplation of the beautiful.”

― Edgar Allan Poe, Poems and Essays

A smile lingered on her lips…

A smile lingered on her lips.

Holding tight onto a secret she refused to admit.

Even the sadness couldn’t quell

the path of her fate.

Her passions would be the

secret she liberates.

Contemplate those dreams…

Contemplate those dreams

that were once hidden

in the far reaches

of younger days.

One may find in the

shadow of reasoning

the pure beauty of a new found dream.

Rub the sleep from your eyes…

Rub the sleep from your eyes.

Worries awaken and flood the mind.

Trying to crowd out the doubting thoughts.

Watching the sunrise

in between the clouds.

Bringing back the remembrance

that all is connected

to the beauty that is called mother nature.

Water’s Edge…

Her countenance shone

as she looked down

upon the water’s edge.

Waiting patiently for time

to come to an end

and make sense of everything…

Mother nature endlessly creates….

Mother nature endlessly creates

multitudes of colors

that only last briefly.

As autumn winds down

into winter.

She will reminisce of its beauty that lies

under the new fallen snow.

Don’t part with…

Don’t part with your illusions.. When they are gone you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.
-Mark Twain
